In the summer of 2023, and as of September 2023, you may have noticed significant lag times and slowness of response times while typing during the editing of WordPress websites if you are using the Apple Mac Safari browser.
Quick Fix
In your browser settings, emptying website cached content data may help. In Safari, this is found under Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data. However, in a test of this method, it proved not to resolve the problem.
Instead, try switching to using the Firefox or Chrome browser to see if the responsiveness is more speedy.
